Melon Pak

This is a conventional transparent polyethylene bag of low density used to pack melons for non-specialized applications.

Xtra Fresh

Xtra Fresh is a very specialized bag developed exclusively by Grupo Olefinas as a result of research and collaboration with numerous Guatemalan melon exporters. Its use has expanded to the rest of Central America and the Caribbean. The Xtra Fresh Melon Bag allows the exchange of important gases, creating a favorable controlled environment within the bag to help preserve preferred characteristics of the fruit during transportation and storage.

Fresh Pak

A bag developed for packing cantaloupes for shipment into the United States and Europe. This bag offers a host of advantages that make it ideal for exporting fresh melons:

• Maintains a temperature-controlled environment, preventing damage to the quality of the fruits whenever abrupt changes of temperature occur during transportation or storage
• Maintains the optimum level of relative humidity inside the bag, preventing dehydration of the fruits
• The final result is a fruit with a "recently harvested" appearance, even after 15 or 20 days of being packed
